Meat loaf burger with smoky jalapeño kraut

Hearty and smoky: Meat loaf burger in a pretzel bun with smoky jalapeño kraut – a spicy reinterpretation of the Bavarian classic.

Ingredients for two burgers

2 pretzel buns
2 lettuce leaves
2 tomato slices
2 plant-based meat loaf ('leberkäse')
some oil for frying
2 tbsp mustard
2-3 tbsp smoky jalapeño kraut

This is how we proceed

Cut the two pretzel rolls in half and divide between two plates. Wash the lettuce leaves and tomato and cut the tomato into slices.

Heat some oil in a pan and fry the meat loaf lightly on both sides.

Spread a little mustard on the sliced pretzel roll. Then place the finished meat loaf, a lettuce leaf, a tomato slice and some smoky jalapeño kraut on top and close with the top half of the pretzel bun.

Do the same with the second burger. Enjoy the taste.
